Bye Ego...

Do you ever find yourself in a room full of people, whether your work environment, a crowded bar/party, or even a family and friends gathering, and something just feels completely uncomfortable or off for you? With that uncomfortableness, do you dive within to understand why you are feeling that way or do you immediately think “Oh fuck this, I’m out of here!?” I find myself in the past I would do a scan of the room and the people surrounding me to get an initial “vibe feeling” before entering. This is a good and bad thing that many people do, because you are more in tune with vibrations/spirituality of others and it’s either repelling you or sucking you into theirs. Don’t think I’m off the chain here, but this is a very common occurrence that many of us can sense when we are in environments and it in a sense gives us a feel for what we are in for by coming into this space with other people. In becoming more self-aware of my own vibrations that I may give off to others and more in tune with myself, I go with the flow and see what happens. Taking a chance, you can call it, because that’s me letting down that initial guard I used to build up before entering any kind of uncomfortable setting where it felt off or even very new for me.
Our minds can play evil games on us, especially that damn ego. Egos are no fun when we let them take over and basically rule aka RUIN our lives. That’s that little voice who immediately decides to show face when you are faced in certain situations, as in fight or flight modes. The ego is the trigger on the gun saying pull back and let’s fucking go! React to this right now, there’s no reasoning at all, guns ablaze! Then this is also where we have now backed ourselves into a corner allowing our irrational self which later becomes your shameful self as you sit there head in hands in regret.
Where am I going with this energy and ego talk right? They tie in together, because the energy you put out or the thoughts in your mind that you create now develops how you are going to react and respond to situations, especially the tougher ones that your ego loves. You can also term this of having pessimistic views on people and situations, which really is no way to live. Be optimistic and have an open mind because sometimes we can build ourselves up so much in our thoughts and give off this negative energy that we later again regret wasting all the time worrying for no reason.
Learn to just go, do and be in the now. Be optimistic, have a better judge of yourself and your own character before you judge others. Always remember, you never know what someone else is going through so as much as you want to react in a way that might make you momentarily feel better, take a step back, reassess and then decide how you want to react (If it’s even warranted). I know, I know some people are just down right rude and are assholes, but you can’t control them. Let them live in that misery, worry about the weight you carry on your shoulders from other people. “Take the backpack off,” (I keep hearing this in podcasts, but so true, take that weight off already! Aren’t you tired of carrying it?) Have an open mind and an open heart because if you keep following your ego and judging new situations based off your old experiences, you’re going to keep losing to yourself. Be judge-y and feed off people’s energies, but don’t do it in a way to where you have now isolated yourself and just have a bad taste in your mouth about the world.
And remember as much as you feel the world owes you for everything you have been through, that someone should pay or someone should suffer… the world owes you nothing. Your life is always what you make of it, so drown in your sorrows until you or take that backpack off, face some hard shit, learn from it and grow into your best and true self, that you so effortlessly hide. Life is wayyyyyy too short my friends.
